The topic of C–H functionalization and C–O formation is the most important area in organic synthesis. Traditional methods are very limited due to the necessary external oxidants, whereas the rapidly developing electrochemical synthesis uses electrons as internal redox reagents. Consequently, electrochemical C–H functionalization for the construction of C–O bonds has emerged as an active area of research.
