A New Species of Zanthoxylum L. (Rutaceae) from Laguna Tecomapa in Nicaragua

Abstract
 A new species of Zanthoxylum L. (Ruta­ceae) from Nicaragua, Z. tecomapaense Reynel, is here described based upon morphological characters. It grows in the surroundings of Laguna Tecomapa in Nicara­gua, under very particular soil conditions; it is distinct in several vegetative and reproductive characters. This species belongs to Zanthoxylum sect. Macqueria Comm. ex Triana & Planch., which is the largest and most variable within the genus.
