Competências na formação jurídica

Revista Justiça do Direito Vol. 40 No. 1 pp. 137-161 · UPF Editora
Abstract
The scope of this article is to analyze the pedagogical possibilities of competency-based training in Brazilian legal education. Competencies, as a pedagogical possibility, entered the field of the bachelor’s degree in law from the beginning of the twenty-first century. Therefore, it is also necessary to consider the criticisms directed at this field.  In this article, we will also highlight the role of a project that will become global and that will have Brazilian participation, coordinated by a professor from the Faculty of Law of UnB in the area of Law, the so-called ALFA-Tuning Project, which has as its pedagogical anchor competency-based training.  We began from an eminently bibliographic and documentary approach, in which we discussed with authors dedicated to the theme, among whom are Loussia P. Musse Felix, Pablo Beneitone, Aurelio Villa and Manuel Poblete. Therefore, in the face of a scenario of immense challenges and pedagogical perspectives that impact Brazilian legal education, the implementation of competency-based training has the potential to strengthen law courses at more inclusive levels in pedagogical terms, stimulating them to articulate with contemporary social demands.
