Abstract
Concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials globally, but its production has significant environmental impacts, particularly in terms of carbon emissions and resource consumption. In response to growing concerns over climate change and sustainability, advances in concrete technology have led to the development of more sustainable alternatives. This article explores the latest innovations in concrete technology, including the use of alternative materials, energy-efficient production methods, and recycling techniques. It discusses how these advances can reduce the environmental footprint of concrete production while maintaining or improving its strength, durability, and versatility. The paper also examines the role of concrete in sustainable construction practices and the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing these technologies in the construction industry.
