Abstract
Cryptographic algorithms are essential for securing real-time systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and authentication of data in applications such as financial systems, healthcare, and IoT devices. However, the implementation of cryptographic algorithms in real-time environments presents significant challenges due to the need for both high security and low latency. This paper evaluates the performance of commonly used cryptographic algorithms including AES, RSA, ECC, and SHA-256 in the context of real-time systems. We discuss their computational complexity, impact on system latency, and suitability for time-critical applications. Additionally, the paper explores the trade-offs between security level and performance overhead, proposing recommendations for selecting the most suitable algorithms based on system requirements.
