Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a key enabler in the field of predictive maintenance, offering the potential to reduce downtime and improve the reliability of critical systems. By leveraging real-time data from IoT sensors, predictive maintenance systems can monitor the health of equipment, identify potential failures, and predict when maintenance is required before an actual breakdown occurs. This paper explores the role of IoT in predictive maintenance, examining its applications in industries such as manufacturing, transportation, and energy. The article also discusses the benefits of predictive maintenance, including reduced maintenance costs, extended equipment life, and enhanced system reliability. Finally, the challenges and future directions of IoT-based predictive maintenance are addressed.
