DATA PRIVACY IN THE AGE OF BIG DATA: PRIVACY-PRESERVING TECHNIQUES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract
The rapid growth of big data technologies has brought about significant challenges to data privacy and security. The extensive collection and analysis of vast amounts of data, often involving personal and sensitive information, have heightened concerns regarding privacy breaches. This article explores the privacy risks associated with big data and examines privacy-preserving techniques and solutions designed to mitigate these risks. Specifically, it investigates methods such as data anonymization, differential privacy, homomorphic encryption, and secure multi-party computation. The article also reviews the legal and ethical considerations involved in ensuring data privacy in the big data era. By evaluating current technological solutions and discussing potential future advancements, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of how data privacy can be preserved without hindering the potential of big data analytics.
