Abstract

A great explorer of museums, as shown by his numerous sketchbooks, Miquel Barceló constantly ponders how to display his works of art. From studio to exhibitions, he invariably plays with the relationship between the work and the space hosting it. It represents a core dimension of his artistic activity. In this article, we will explain that this work leads to open up the enclosed space the museum is, heightening the meanings connected to this specific space.
