Abstract
The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has revolutionized healthcare by enabling remote patient monitoring, real-time data collection, and improved medical diagnostics. However, the integration of interconnected medical devices raises critical security concerns, particularly regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive medical data. Cryptographic techniques form the foundation of securing IoMT networks, addressing the unique challenges posed by resource-constrained devices and diverse communication protocols. This paper presents an overview of prominent cryptographic approaches employed in IoMT security, focusing on lightweight cryptography, key management, and emerging blockchain-based methods. The study highlights challenges and proposes future research directions to enhance the security posture of IoMT ecosystems.
